Release notes
See what’s new in Tempelo.
1.31.0
2026-09-26
- Improved: the help pages and the FAQ have been updated for the newest features. You can now read what you see on the Ride Route map, how Tempelo estimates your arrival time (including climb and wind correction), how rest stops and ferries work, what the riding direction advice is, what the chart and the warnings show, how to change units, what Tempelo does offline and what a support code is
- Improved: the privacy policy and the Integrations help now state that the access and refresh tokens of your Strava and RideWithGPS connection are stored encrypted
1.30.2
2026-09-19
- Ride Route now automatically detects ferry crossings on your route -- visible on both Setup and Forecast -- and shows a notice with their km position plus its own map icon, kept clearly distinct from rest pauses. You can pick a 10/15/20/30-minute crossing duration per ferry and choose to count it toward your total travel time; that choice is preserved when you go back to Setup or share the route
- Ride Route now shows a green dot on the start point and a checkered finish flag on the end point as soon as a route is loaded, with a single diagonally-split dot for a loop or out-and-back ride
- Improved: a failed Strava or RideWithGPS connection now shows a support code you can use to get help, instead of failing silently
- Fixed: ferries that are only roughly drawn on the map, like the GVB ferries at IJmuiden and Buitenhuizen, are now recognised on Ride Route, and a road running alongside a ferry line is no longer mistaken for a crossing
- Improved: Ride Route now also recognises ferries that are short, where the route reaches the far bank slightly off from the landing on the map, and on routes with few points; a route that only passes one side of a ferry connection no longer counts as a ferry

1.29.1
2026-09-11
- Ride Now, Ride Later and Ride Route now also show a warning and a wind indicator above/below the table during strong wind
- Ride Commute: new "Check weather" button on a single ride or workday, taking you straight to Ride Later with the next departure already filled in
- Ride Route now shows arrows on the map indicating your route's direction of travel, and advises riding a loop or out-and-back the other way round if that means less headwind during the tiring final stretch
- Ride Now and Ride Later now show a tip during noticeable wind suggesting which direction to start in to get the headwind out of the way first
- Fixed: logging in to set up Ride Commute didn't work — you'd land straight on Home instead of seeing the login screen
- Fixed: the intro text above your wardrobe in Settings was invisible in dark mode on Safari
- Improved: fetching a forecast now gives a clear error faster instead of sometimes hanging on a slow weather provider
- Improved: the text under the forecast now more clearly shows when it was fetched, dropping the meaningless "matches the current input" line
- Improved: the wind markers on the Ride Route map now show a loading indicator while the forecast is being fetched, instead of briefly showing the wrong wind direction
- Fixed: Ride Now sometimes showed only 5 instead of 6 hours in the chart and table when opening the app
- Fixed: the wind icons under the chart on Ride Now, Ride Later and Ride Route showed fewer hours than were actually known for longer rides
